Inviting spaces with color, lighting, technology and numerous food station venues providing multiple culinary options describes the goal of this high-profile renovation for the University of Toledo.  This design breaks away from the norm of traditional dining halls and allows for individual and group dining experiences while also providing strong marketing tools for the University to recruit, secure and strengthen the student body.

As part of our services, we worked with the University to enhance the student dining experience by renovating and upgrading the existing facilities to include new vendors and to provide students with a well-rounded and enticing dining experience that would last for years to come. As part of the design process, Buehrer Group’s staff worked with Hill Foley Rossi & Associates, LLC to incorporate Chick-fil-A into the design including meeting their specific design standards.

With projects going on in two separate locations and a limited amount of time for completion, the existing dining facilities were transformed in to an active vibrant stage for social interaction and nourishment.  View and vistas were opened up to promote a more open feel for diners and new floors, counters and wall finishes were added to enhance the ascetics of the dining area.

As part of the design, existing walls, flooring and ceilings were removed.  Fire protection, HVAC and electrical renovations were designed to incorporate greater energy efficient systems allowing the University to provide a more sustainable building for future generations.
