The new Miami East High School is designed for 397 9-12 students and sits on the existing school campus between the district’s K-8 school and current high school. The building was designed with an angled classroom wing and entrance canopies to enhance transition between the K-8 facility and current high school, which are positioned at different angles on the campus.

The building includes a reading room, 17 classrooms, a tiered 80 seat lecture hall, 4 science labs, a computer lab, art room, Ag-Ed lab and classroom, production lab, life skills, lab, music room, 4 locker rooms, and a 1,348 seat gymnasium.

In addition to the new high school, new scorer boxes, dugouts and concessions were built.

The school was awarded LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
