Toledo-Lucas County Public Library – Waterville Branch

A renovation and 4,300 SF expansion creating a new 12,000 SF public library. In addition to new ceilings, carpeting, and interiors, the project includes new CAT 6 wiring infrastructure and new fire alarm system.

Toledo-Lucas County Public Library – Maumee Branch

Maumee, Ohio

Original structure was built in 1916 as a gift from steel baron and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.  This project was designed for the community by the community:

Preservationists pleaded the case for saving the Andrew Carnegie Library while others demanded a new facility.
Naturalists defended the trees and open land planning, while pragmatists sought parking areas close to the building.
Persons with disabilities sought a barrier free library while through its history, various additions created six different levels.
Young patrons attended a special meeting to express their desires, ?resulting in a creative, energetic children’s area.

Construction started June 27, 2000 and was completed May 7, 2001
