Bowling Green, Ohio
A portion of this 4 story dormitory on campus was demolished making room for a new dining hall. A new masonry wall with egress stair closed off the open section of the dormitory. Care was taken so that no further damage occurred for the remaining masonry walls and some demolished brick was salvaged and used to tooth masonry back into place. The design of the new end piece keeps the same characteristics of the original building. Inside, the renovation allowed for the conversion of a portion of existing student dorm rooms into study rooms and offices while on the first floor an informal student lounge was created.
